Phoenix Rising – A Poem

A Phoenix rising represents transformation through challenges

Emotional Bodies Are Built

We can often refer to our emotional body as a structured building. We have foundations of belief, rooms where different beliefs are held and some of these rooms can be dark, dingy and in poor structural condition.

Life can throw some pretty hefty experiences your way. Transformation is discovered through these challenges.

When searching for coping skills, finding acceptance and allowing can assist with the process.

Phoenix Rising

There was a flash on the walls, where the wires did touch.

The electricity burst, with a chaotic rush.

Where was the fault, was the wiring all flawed?

Another false security, where the danger was stored.

It sparked from two sides, of the dark hidden room.

A fire had erupted, and fear followed soon.

The current went crazy, as I searched the off switch.

Where was the manual, that instructed a glitch.

Frantic the run, through the cupboard for a book.

Where were the instructions, all my energy took.

What if I run for the door, all locked it would seem.

And smoke filled the air, as I let out a scream.

Gasping for breath, as the flames rose all around me.

Exposing ugly spaces, all weaknesses had found me.

And climb the horror did, I was losing it all.

Insecurity gave a thump, and my body did fall.

I was trapped in the frenzy, with nowhere to run.

So let the fire take me, and the room be like the sun.

Let it burn what doesn’t serve me, and purify my soul.

Let it put me through the pain, so my spirit becomes whole.

Let the faulty rooms burn hot, so that I rise hotter still.

Let the emptied room make way, so pure spirit can now fill.

I wont lie, it hurts it aches when exposed to flames that burn.

But I now know I can face it, I don’t have to run or turn.

For brighter I become, and truth seen without doubt.

Let the fire burn within, so that I can shine without.
